Recording (Live Tracking)

We begin with the basic tracks capturing a whole band, parts of the band, or a single musician with a slinge instrument using a-dat or analog applications.

Overdubs (Adding the finishing touches)

Once tracking is completed additional parts are added if needed. This could include vocals and instrumental solos.

Mixing (Putting it all together)

Blending all of the elements by using special effects, volume adjustments, and appropriate EQ's.

Mastering (The finished product)

Enhancing and technically preparing your final mix for cd replication. This process includes sequencing and editing songs into their final form and adjusting EQ and volume of each song so levels remain consistent throughout the entire cd. We also provide proper spacing between songs and clean up intro's and endings in the mastering process.

Digital Audio Restoration

McKay Studio specializes in transferring vinyl or tape to cd. Our high powered software allows us to remove unwanted hiss and buzz, snap, crackle, and pop. We can adjust bass and treble, add reverb, compression, and limiting. These are effective tools when re-issuing your old albums on compact disc. You'll be impressed with the end result.
